"Do you guys want to open a present now?" By:Kaytie, Steve and Noah

Around 12:30 this afternoon, Steve and I decided we wanted to go to the movies and see Seven Pounds. My dad met us at the movie theatre to pick up Noah and take him back to their house. We got out of the movie and ventured to Bob and Debbie's to pick up the Little Man. When we got there, Jenn and Rian were picking up Cameron too. So, we were all just sitting there watching the Broncos and mom says "do you guys want to open one present?" Are you kidding...REALLY...I don't think Jennifer and I have EVER had a problem with opening presents early. So, Noah goes first, and he got an AWESOME tool set that he really loves, and as I am sitting here typing, him and his daddy are having a grand ol' time sawing eachothers arms and legs off, and hitting the nails with the hammer, and screwing in screws with the new wrench!

Then it's Grandma's turn and she got a new cream and red tote that has her name embroidered on it. Perfect for her, she said she can put EVERYTHING in it....hmmm, can it all fit in a tote Grandma?

Then it was Cam's turn and he loved trying to get the paper off the new set of bath toys! I think he even got a floating octopus.

Now, it is Kaytie/Steve and Jenn/Rian's turn. Jennifer and I closed our eyes because Rian and Steve already knew what the present was we were opening. We got all the paper off, counted to 3...Wii's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We each got new Wii systems!

We already have it set up and have played duck hunt, tennis and bowling! We love it, but I needed to finish my homework first before we can start any tournaments. We love our new Wii!

The SHITTY Wipe By:Kaytie

So, as we all know, it's cold. I just got done with my homework and Steve let the dogs outside. I got a bit chilled from the draft of the backdoor. So, I saw our running fake fireplace and thought it looked rather toasty. I mosied on over and sat with all my weight on my shins and feet. Steve let the dogs back in after about 5 minutes. Here comes the Bi-dog (Jaxson) to come love on his Momma and probably lay down by the fire because he is always right next to it when it is on. So, he's facing me and starts to turn his head and then body away from me.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND: Jaxson really loves to sit on my feet and my lap, I always kid that his butt must be cold.

So, Jaxson has turned and I realize that he just wants to sit on my lap. So, I welcome the loving engagement of my dog and notice that he's putting a little more weight on my legs than normal. So, he's in a full sit on my lap for approximately 4 seconds when I finally feel the rub and notice what is going on.

Jaxson puts his whole weight towards his butt and presses down on my leg and begins to scoot, and his tail is definitely out of the way of his butthole. Steve was standing by the couch getting ready to turn the tv off and I was like "Jaxson, you better not be wiping your butt on me". Then, I see the mark on my favorite sweat pants of a dark brownish nature. Steve was watching as it was unfolding and I yelled, "he just wiped his shitty asshole on me!! I can't believe my dog just wiped his shitty asshole on me".

The SHITTY wipe.

Steve immediately put my shitty sweats in the wash.

I'm Not Retarded By:Kaytie

I sometimes wonder why people think I am so retarded. I admit, I have had my moments, and I am pretty sure everyone has, so why is it always expressed that I am a little less there then apparently everyone else in the world?

I have one rebuttal to this notion...

I AM NOT RETARDED!

*Please note: If you are reading this and are one of the people whom thinks I am retarded, please change your thought process.

Thank you and good day.

The Biggest Loser By:Kaytie

I love The Biggest Loser, as does my Hoosband. He probably wouldn't as willingly admit it like I do, but he loves it. I get such a great joy out of seeing how much weight the people on the show lose, and how much it changes their lives forever! So, I am going to update this blog while I am watching the show!!!!

First of all, I think Heba looks great, but I do rather enjoy the fact that Ed was picked to be in the finale.

Adam and Stacey- Holy CRAP...STACEY looks AMAZING. She dropped 65 some odd pounds and is in the 150's.

Tom and LT- I just love them and they both love over 160 lbs. combined.

Colleen and Jerry- I love Colleen and I really hoped that she would make the finale, but she just came out and looks hot! Jerry is 51 and does not have any of the diseases he had, and does not take the 5 medications he was previously taking! Jerry lost: 115 lbs.!

Shallay and Amy C.- I just can't believe these two...Amy looks hot too! I wish Amy would have played the game smart and kicked Vicki off when she had the damn chance too! Holy shit, Shallay lost 74 lbs., and Amy: 104 LBS, 104 LBS, 104 LBS!! Incredible!!!!!!!

Phil and Amy- Phil's hot, I am a sucker for a man with a bald head...and his wife looks HoTT! I love these two, they have 3 kids, one who is autistic, and my favorite scene of this show is when they got to make a call home, and their autistic son said "I love you" to his parents and they just started bawling because he had never said "I love you" to anyone. and Phil just lost 151 LBS. I can't even believe that. Another of my favorite scenes was again them talking to their son, and he wanted them to call him Charlie Brown, so they had to say "I love you Charlie Brown". It was so sweet and so touching, I just love this family. Amy lost 105 lbs., she weighs 124 LBS. That's crazy!

Brady- Vicki's husband- I'm not a big fan of this family, but he looks great and he lost 117 lbs.

Renee- She just looks so classy and classic! She just looks so pretty, and I love Michelle too. If I could have picked from the beginning, I would have chosen to put these two in the finals because they are just so nice and they were there to work hard and lose weight, that's it, the point of the show. She lost 106 lbs.

I am wondering why everyone is in such a rush and I just watched Brady un-do his tie and get his shirt half-way unbuttoned in about 5.6 seconds...it's a little awkward, I mean, all you have to do is strip and put on some spandex. I guess if you're sweaty, spandex could be difficult and sticky.

Heba- I love her husband, but I can not believe how great she looks. She started as the biggest woman in the house...here we go...how much did she lose...watching a damn commercial....Here WE GOOO: 138 LBS! She won the $100,000. I'm not sure if I think she deserves it, because she's kind of snotty, but I know she worked her ass off to lose that much, so good job!

Vicki- I'm not a fan, but I did get a little teary eyed when she was loving on her kids. Just a big sigh is all I could manage to get out, she looks good, but I think she looks kind of old, but that's all the negative I will say because anyone who can lose that much weight is pretty good.

Michelle-I love her. She is soooo pretty, and I can't WAIT to see how she looks, I hope she wins the whole damn show, and I just love her. WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW. I can't even believe she looks as good as she does.

Ed- I just really love Ed, and he is so funny, and a chef...maybe Steve will go to school to be a chef...hmmmm.mmmmmmmm....I love my hoosband, and he is a good cook, but I would love it if he made it look pretty too! Ed lost 139 lbs. that's so crazy, and he does look good!

The new season of The Boggest Loser: It looks awesome, did someone really pass out and the medics said he wasn't breathing? I mean, that's not awesome, but I did see Bob and Jillian doing a lot of yelling, and that is TOTALLY awesome. January 6 can not come soon enough!

So, I'm writing this blog all the while watching the show at the same time, and now it's back from commercial and Ed has weighed in, so now it's Vicki's turn...Vicki weighs 145 lbs. and lost 101 lbs. That's good, but not good enough to beat Ed at this point. My girl Michelle has a shot...waiting...watchign her documentary...and watching Jillian kick her ass...she has to lose 100 or more pounds to beat Ed and be the Biggest Loser...commercial...and I just told Steve that I have realized "oh lord, I'm giving a paly by play of the Biggest Loser"...I tell Steve and he says, "Well, are you writing your thoughts or just a play by play" and I said "it's more like a play by play with thoughts included" and he's just kind of laughing at me...Michelle's on the scale...she's on the scale....i'm not breathing....SHE WON SHE WON SHE WON SHe lost 110 Lbs.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 132 LBS. Holy CRAP! She's so great. That's two female Biggest Losers in a row. /she totally just kicked ass. Now I'm going to watch Eli Stone. Good day.

Reality TV... The Bain of My Existance By: Steve

I can't even begin to tell you how much I despise reality TV. Everyday I come home and am forced to watch some version of reality TV. Whether it be "B" level stars ball room dancing or 50 people competing for the "love" of another, its all the same to me. The only reality TV show that offers anything (in my opinion) to society, is The Biggest Loser. This show has helped dozens of people do what they could never do by themselves. Every time I have to hear about Heidi and Spencer's wedding I cringe. Every time I see another 20 people putting their lives on hold to compete for "true" love, I lose a little faith in society. I would never have so much exposure to this "real world" if it weren't for my wife Kaytie. But the thing I have come to realize about women and these reality shows is that Deanna and Jessie breaking up is like the Super Bowl of reality TV. One could only compare the difference between men and womens perception of "good TV" by comparing the moments in TV that get us excited to watch it. For instance, seeing Joe Sakic win the Stanely Cup from a peanalty shot is as exciting as Justin Bobby cheating on Audrina with Lauren. My point is that no matter how much I loath reality TV, I will never escape it becasue I love my wife and for some reason she loves reality TV.

Speidi

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE reality t.v. I was shocked when my sister called me and said that "Spencer and Heidi got married in Mexico". I thought...what the hell did he do to get her to do that? Well, I am an avid Hills lover and have now found my conclusion to how Spencer can get Heidi to do ANYTHING. A few weeks ago, there was an episode where Heidi and Spencer were at a work function that Heidi was suppose to be working. He got her drunk, she got fired. Tonight's episode was no different, Spencer got Heidi drunk, and they got married...This is sad to me, she should know better than to marry that duesch bag. I mean, it always looks like he has pubes on his face because of his nasty ass beard.

I think we all can learn that if you want Heidi Montag to do anything...Just give her some shots of Patron. Damn girl, GWTFP. You didn't even tell your MOM.

My Extreme Love for Animals

I love animals, especially dogs. So, on this fine Saturday evening, Steve decided he wanted to watch I Am Legend. I'm not sure if anyone has seen this movie, but I fell in love with the dog named Sam in this movie. I think I love this dog so much because how they portray her in this movie is how I feel about my dogs; the Quiggies Quigersons and the BiDog (pronounced like big, minus the g). So, I am sitting here watching this movie of attacking zombies against Will Smith and the dog Sam and I tell Steve "it's kind of sad that I would say, save the dog, don't worry about yourself". This is how I feel, some might think I am crazy, but I love my dogs almost as much as I love my son. I'm sure if I grew them from my belly too, my love would be equal, since I did not, Noah takes the cake but my dogs are a very close second.

I have grown up with dogs my whole life and remember being traumatized when I watched Old Yeller at a family friends house when I was approximately 5 years old. The next traumatic movie I remember is Where the Red Fern Grows. I remember sitting in between my dads legs crying so hard I couldn't control it and my blanket ended up soaked with tears because both the dogs died. The most horrific experience I had was going to The National Western Stock Show Rodeo because my cousin Clint was steer wrestling that night. It was during calf roping that the night I will never forget happened. They lassoed the rope around the calf and pulled back to tighten it, and the calf's neck snapped, it didn't die instantly which was worse. There was a flood of cowboys that swarmed the are and made a big circle around the calf. I am not sure what happened in the circle, but I like to think the Vet came and euthanized the poor calf. My cousin came and told us that the Cowboy would get a fine. Being about 10 years old, this has haunted me for life. To this day, I refuse to watch calf roping.

That was just the beginning of my over-whelming tear flow that happens when an animal is killed in a movie, or on t.v. I can't watch Animal Planet all that much because I hate to see another animal killed, even if it is the circle of life. Back to my point, I can't watch movies when animals are killed. I have now been crying for 7 minutes and 26 seconds over the I Am Legend dog.

I will finish this with an ode to all the dogs that I have loved in my life that did not last as long as me:
Lodo-17 years old
Mich(pronounced Mick)-11 years old
Cooper- 10 years old
Stewie- 2 years old-My 1st God Dog
Cinder- Steve can't remember how old she was, but he loved her, so I love her.

My Current Loves:
Tucker- 12 years and kickin, such a good boy
Jaxson
Quigley
Sydney- That Syd-bo-neezie-skeezies, started off a shit, but now she's stolen my heart
Jamison-My new God Dog
Daisy Chavez- She was at Camp Bow Wow when both Steve and I worked there. I spent many a lunches with Daisy, I would hand feed her so she would eat lunch. She is what now makes me love German Shepards.
Ollie Dog, Izzer Bells, and Miss Shmadow- I walked these dogs all summer...I'm their favorite outside family member!
Ras(pronounced like Ross)- My all time favorite boy at Bow Wow
Bella Rothe- She is the reason I now want a Puggle
Willie Whippet- Willie always came up to me as soon as he got to Bow Wow and I would hold him for approximately 20-30 minutes every hour.
Nellie and Macy- I love these dogs, but I'm not sure if they are too crazy about me, but the are my nieces, I do love them dearly!!!
*Please note: If your dog is not on this list, I still love it, and notify me if I need to add your dog, I will make updates.

Christmas and Crocheting

As I am sitting here, looking at my beautiful new and REAL Christmas Tree, a thought crossed my mind. Oh shit, I only have 14 days left to complete the present I am making for Grandma Ricard. Then I thought, out loud mind you "Oh HOLY SHIT, I only have 13 days", because we are celebrating Christmas with Steve's fam on Christmas Eve since Jake is working Christmas Day. Considering I have approximately 2 3/4 rows completed, I have my work cut out for me. And who do I have to thank for this?!? My Mother-In-Law Sandy...I called one warm day in November and told Sandy how I wanted to crochet Grandma a nice shoulder shawl for Christmas, and asked her opinion as to how big it should be. Sandy being the loving and caring Daughter-in-Law to Grandma that she is thought it would be better if I made her a nice lap blanket for Grandma's legs. She had gotten a blanket of Noah's and set it on Grandma's legs and it was a perfect fit and not too heavy that it would hurt her legs. I asked Sandy how big the blanket was, and she said, "hold on, let me get the yard stick (or ruler) and measure it". Immediatley I lost my breath and thought I was going to have a heart attack. She has to measure it?!? I then realized this blanket was not a size that could be eyeballed and guestimated. It's the real deal, it needs a yard stick.

So, here I am, done decorating my Christmas Tree, not done with the house yet and I have Christmas boxes in my living room that I will make Steve take car of in the appropriate fashion when he gets home from his long day of work and after cooking dinner because we are having chicken, and I don't cook chicken. I think I'm a bit color blind when it comes to telling if the juices are pinkish or clear...

Anyways, back to my point. I'm done with my tree, done with my homework for the evening, and thinking, I should crochet, but Grey's Anatomy is on tonight, and I could watch and croch.....

Back to my point, as you can tell, my number one downfall is coming into play as we speak...actually, one and two. Procrastinating and Number Two Space Cadet, (Number Two, because Steve takes the cake on that one).

Turns out, I enjoy crocheting and will probably work my fingers to the bone starting the 22nd of December, because that is the day I go on Christmas Break at school!

By the way, the blanket should be 3 feet x 4 feet.

Here's to Jenn...

So, I will start by completeing one of Jenn's 101 goals...I have created our blog. Bare with me that it might take a few days to get up and running with pictures and the whole bit.

Let me tell you how this has come to be. Jenn called me, I don't know about a month or two ago and said that she had this new list of goals, 101 to be exact and that I was included in this list of goals quite a few times...I thought "oh shit, what has she gotten me into?". Now the guilt trip, she has, on numerous occasions told me that I needed to get this done so she could cross me off of one of the goals she set. Really, I think she needs to re-do her list, I mean seriously...If I have to start a blog as one of HER goals...I'm a bit confused, so I proclaim that Jenn has to replace the blog goal for another.

Here's to Jenn!
